Open Question: Calling all old school rpg fans...?
If I had to guess, I'd say I've been searching for the answer to this for 4 years now. I played a game back in the 90's (possibly early 2000) that I've been trying to remember for the longest time. I only played it once but the artistic style of the game really stuck out to me and I've really wanted to go back to it and give it another go. All I'm asking is that if anyone recognizes the description to this game can they please suggest the possible name.
The game is either a PC game or a PlayStation One game (Those are the two platforms I had at the time). It's an rpg (It may be a Jrpg but I'm not too sure) that started you off in some kind of slum or ghetto. The setting seemed somewhat sci-fi or steampunk and a few NPC's mentioned something about the nearby factory that provided power to their city/settlement/whatever. Apparently they knew nothing about who ran the factory or if there was even anyone in there at all (no way to get inside it apparently). Once you leave the city you explore the overworld and you can actually follow a pipe over a large canyon (seemed bottomless) to this factory they spoke of but of course there's no real way to get in. You're then left to explore the surrounding of desert in which you learn how to use the combat system against the wild life that roam there (the system may have been turned based but I may be wrong). That's where my memory stops. I apologize for the vague description but I must of played this at least 6 years ago and all of it is very hazy.
ANY advice you might have on finding this title will be greatly appreciated.
