Play & Post - Game System

If you want to try playing some Play & Post D&D style adventuring you will need access to a Dungeon & Dragons Player Handbook.

Before you begin you will want to contact, via 'Private Message' the Dungeon Master of the Adventure you would like to participate in. (This can be learned by simply skimming through a current thread.) Introduce yourself and make sure that you request that your money be rolled up for you so you can buy your equipment.

Check out the Character Section and use one of the current Characters as your template, then using the Player Handbook as a reference choose your race and class, then roll your attributes.

This is monetary scale for medieval scenarios unless another a game master of a different play & post adventure states otherwise:

1 platinum peice = 10 gold
1 electrum piece= 5 gold
1 gold peice=20 silver
1 silver peice = 10 copper
1 copper piece

Just to kind of add on to the above post, there is also the online D20 srd http://www.d20srd.org which is a plethora of info which is kind of the online version of the PHB, just not quite all the details, but a vast amount.

Something that I forgot to ask.  Please all players make sure your armour class frontal attack/side attack/rear attack is listed on your character sheets.  Plus make sure you list your hit points.  Everyone starts at level one and starts at the max hit points they can have.  Example Odig started out with 24 hit points.

To figure your armour classes - frontal attack means you get all bonuses + any armour worn + shield if any.
side attack is all bonuses + armour if worn.   Back attack is armour only if worn.  A example would be shown like this  14/12/10. 

If these changes can be made to all character sheets I would appreciate it thanks.

At the moment I don't know the value of my studded leather shirt and wooden shield.
I can amend my sheet when I know the AC.

Just so you all know I go by the 10 armour class as naked.  So a shield or leather will give you a 11 leather and a shield or hardened leather will give you 12.  Figure your armour based on this.  Remember to add your dexterity bonus.  Some manuals will show it as a - 1 or more but do not subtract add that to your base.
