In some times they have.  Look at Delihia or joan of arc.  Queen Elizibeth.  Throught history there are many many women who reached for the stars and took them. 

A lot of women in history were not listened too and trodden upon as nothing but property.  It is hard to see that prperty rising up.  Men ruled with brute strength and some have yet to forget thet.  Not all men who ruled were stupid either   Some were quite smart.

Actually I have always felt women do have a slight edge here.   It might be better placed to memory and wisdom.    I ask who is the husbands closest adviser and can control him in most cases with little effort.   His wife why because we have desire to see them happy so they can make us happy.    One might argue the man is smarter then as he recognizes this but it is the women that makes it so.    Subtle control and influence is a woman's strength and is done through brain power.   The rest we are equal in but in this I  think women are much better.   Only question is is this only so because of their lack of presence in the front line historically.   I think it is just built into them.
